RNDM Gizmo is the roof over digital products, music and brands. Many ideas, one hard filter: what gets built is what is useful, independent, or simply too good to leave lying around. Whatever passes that test gets a number.

Salamandra

Salamandra brings the feeling of putting on a record to your digital music collection. A player for whole albums – with a spatial turntable, a visual album collection, Apple Music and your own music files. Choose your preferred Discogs pressing and give music room again.

Side A / native apps in TestFlight

The native Salamandra apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac are already being tested through TestFlight. They combine the album collection, Apple Music and your own music files with a spatial turntable.

The web player remains usable as a Legacy version and will receive no further development. The features below describe the existing web player and earlier development builds. The current native apps are being tested through TestFlight.

  1. 01Whole albumsListen without a recommendation feed. Animated vinyl with a cover label and moving tonearm; discreet play/pause and track controls. Optionally split an album into two record sides and turn it over deliberately.
  2. 02Your collectionBrowse the album flow or use the list. Search and sort by album, artist or year; resume an album from your saved position.
  3. 03Three music sourcesYour Apple Music library with the required subscription, Jamendo without an extra account or music-service subscription, and your own DRM-free music folders with artwork and metadata on iPhone and iPad. Source and available quality information in the player.
  4. 04Your pressingFind vinyl releases through Discogs, choose a preferred pressing and save it. Coloured, transparent, marbled and splatter variants as stylised representations.
  5. 05Your turntableDifferent designs and backgrounds, light and dark appearance. Interface in German and English.
  6. 06On your Home ScreenTwo widget sizes for iPhone and iPad: album, artwork, matching vinyl style and an artwork-tinted background. Play and pause Apple Music directly from iOS/iPadOS 17; tap the album area to open its player.

A QR code leads to a profile page. Scan, save the contact, done. The code carries only the link, so it stays small, and the details can change without reprinting it.
